The different positions you take up in your session can affect your perception of what’s happening. Here’s a thread on the different positions and their pros and cons.

Nick Gearing with a pertinent thread on the isolated practice debate. First up how do we actually define isolated practice? Hint many people had different definitions, what does it consists of, and what do the professionals do. Another big hint both isolated and games-based aid player’s development, maybe we should stop arguing and start adapting to our players.

Last up is an article from Peter Motzenbecker on the importance of coaching dribbling 1v1. Why I decided to add this, because it rings true to one of my main beliefs when coaching. everyone should be comfortable on the ball enough to get them out of 90% of situations. There will always be times when you need to clear the ball but what if it was truely used as a last resort after all options have gone rather than the first thought? What do you think?https://motz.football/thoughts/2018/03/22/the-importance-of-coaching-dribbling-1v1s/
