When looking into session design, what are the things that come to mind? well, this tweet from Peter Prickett goes through the elements he considers when creating his sessions. How many do you use? Are there any missing or ones you’ve not considered before?

A great article on the Fifa training academy website on goalkeeping both in and out of possession. Michael Loftman here breaking down the phases of the game even more than usual. In and out possession, transitions, and set pieces are the main themes but they this can be broken down even more such as for in possession, beating the press, beating the block, and attacking the final third. take a look and let me know what you think.

Cesc Fabregas going here with a thread of his favourite articles from his old coach Tony Colbert. Tony was a massive believer in technical training at speed. if you look at the sessions it’s interesting that the start of them are unopposed. A big debate in coaching circles is whether you use opposed versus unopposed exercises and their benefits. What do you think? do you have many unopposed exercises in your sessions?
