Hi everyone, welcome to another edition of the Coach Insight newsletter. Merry Christmas, happy holidays, and happy new year to you all. This edition will be a recap of 2022. we’ve had so many new subscribers who haven’t been through some of our best editions plus the new year is always a time for reflection.
Speaking of reflection what are your coaching goals for 2023? When we come to December 31st, 2023 what are you hoping you will have achieved? I like to write mine down and pin them up so I’m reminded throughout the year.
Top Ten of 2022
First up is from the end of May titled “Do you know how to build a great team culture” With its top post on exactly that, building a great team culture -
Next we have “how long do you spend on a coaching topic” in this edition we went through the sometimes difficult question of how long should i keep working a particular part of the game -
Another one from May but this time on the topic of key leadership behaviours -
Number 4 is something I tell people in everyday life. know your strengths, your strengths, and your goals will guide you.
Next is a march edition on environments, overloads, and defending with the first post about strategies when you’re first starting out.
number 6 for us but the 2nd from March and this leading topic was The Training Ground Gurus look into the changes made in German football in their pursuit to make football better for those u11 and there before produce better players.
A strong top ten in the next one with the number one on the benefits of the different formats of the game.
Next up was a top ten from April on the concept of space and how it influences your thinking and approach to coaching sessions.
A June edition this time and we’re lead through our key principles of session design.
Round off the top ten of the year is our edition that looked into coaching motivation. The questions from Todd Beane help you have an introspective look into why you became a coach.
